1ST SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial is excited to bring basketball back to the arena! The last time basketball players took at the court in the arena was in 2014, so we are happy to be putting the hoops up again to host our second annual Holiday Basketball Shoot-Out on December 26th & 27th. Eight local boys’ teams and 4 local girls’ teams from the following schools will compete this year: Bishop McCort, Conemaugh Township, Conemaugh Valley, Ferndale, Forest Hills, Greater Johnstown, Penn Cambria, Portage, and Westmont Hilltop. Each game does count toward the teams’ season record and what makes these match-ups even more exciting is that these are interleague games. We have teams from 2 different conferences that don’t typically complete against each other, so these are games you wouldn’t see during a regular season. The schedule of games is as follows:
Day 1
10:00am: Penn Cambria vs Conemaugh Township(Boys)
12:00pm: Conemaugh Valley vs Forest Hills(Boys)
2:00pm: Westmont vs Portage(Girls)
4:00pm:Ferndale vs Westmont(Boys)
6:00pm Bishop Guilfoyle vs Bishop McCort(Girls)
8:00pm: Bishop McCort vs Greater Johnstown(Boys)
Day 2
10:00am: Forest Hills vs Ferndale(Boys)
12:00pm: Penn Cambria vs Conemaugh Valley (Boys)
2:00pm: Bishop Guilfoyle vs Portage(Girls)
4:00pm: Conemaugh Township vs Greater Johnstown(Boys)
6:00pm: Biship McCort vs Westmont(Girls)
8:00pm: Westmont vs Bishop McCort(Boys)
